Struan/Dunvegan
(45 minute drive from us)

The drive alone from Luib to Dunvegan is worth the trip! A coastal road with an abundance to see and do.

The area of Struan is less well known but full of hidden gems. The Island of Oronsay is a tidal island which can be easily walked to and the views are magical! Bog Mertyl is a cafe/book store which serves tasty lunches and cakes. Dun Beag is a well preserved Broch which will transport you back to the iron ages, perfect for the history lovers. The Crofter's Bite take away van is just the thing for food on the go.

In Dunvegan you will find Dunvegan castle which is the best preserved castle on Skye. You can also drive down to Claggain and take the short walk to the world famous Coral Beach. For an evening meal we highly recommend the old school restaurant for traditional Scottish cuisine.

Take a drive down to Glendale and you will be able to walk to the world famous Neist Point Lighthouse. for lunch we highly recommend the Red Roof Cafe which has delicious fresh lunch platters. You can complete your day out to this part of Skye by dining in the world renowned five star Three Chimneys Restaurant.
