Wildlife.

You can expect to see many different species of birds all around Luib for example herons, geese, ducks, garden birds, buzzards and sometimes even sea eagles! If you remain patient you may even witness a nosy seal pop its head out of the water. There are often sheep and a couple of horses roaming the village.

Transport.
Buses pass our house very regular and you will find the latest timetables in your welcome pack on your arrival. They will take you North or south of the Island.  Here is a helpful link to find online bus time tables. https://www.lochalsh.com/bus_services_in_skye_and_lochalsh.html

Due to our central location you can easily experience all the island has to offer. From Luib to the very tip top of Skye (Kilmuir) will take 1 - 1.30 hours depending on traffic. From Luib to the very south of Skye (Aird in Sleat) will also take 45 min - 1 hour. There is no village more central!

Please note all our or estimated drive times are with moderate traffic, in the height of the season please allow for a little extra drive time.
